Everything below is written as reference material: the official thresholds and fees we have verified, who qualifies and who is barred, how long it takes, what the passport does and does not give you, and the risks. Grenada grants citizenship to approved applicants who contribute to the National Transformation Fund (NTF) from US$235,000 or buy a unit in a government-approved real-estate project at a higher threshold with a holding period. Every applicant aged 17 or over passes due diligence and attends an interview. Dependants can include a spouse, children, parents and grandparents, and unmarried siblings, under the Investment Migration Agency's rules. There is no residency or visit requirement and dual citizenship is permitted. Grenada is the only Caribbean programme whose citizens can apply for a United States E-2 treaty investor visa, and its passport gives visa-free access to the Schengen area, the United Kingdom and China.

We publish only figures we have verified against the IMA; per-applicant fees and family bands change by regulation and are confirmed in writing for each case. Legal translation, attestation and the agent's professional fees are additional.
Applications from nationals of Russia and Belarus have been suspended since 2022. Nationals of certain other countries are subject to residence-abroad conditions or enhanced due diligence set by the IMA. We confirm eligibility at pre-screen before any agreement is signed.
The IMA does not publish a guaranteed processing time; recent files have typically taken several months from submission to approval. The sequence is:
A Grenada passport gives visa-free or visa-on-arrival entry to the Schengen area, the United Kingdom, China, Singapore, Hong Kong and most of the Commonwealth Caribbean. It does not give visa-free entry to the United States or Canada. Grenada has a treaty of commerce with the United States, so Grenadian citizens can apply for the E-2 treaty investor visa by making a substantial investment in a US business; this is a separate US application with its own rules and is not a right of entry. The European Union has been reviewing visa-free access for all Caribbean investor-citizenship states since 2023. Entry rules change; confirm with the destination state before travelling.
Grenada levies no wealth, gift, inheritance or capital-gains tax, and does not tax the foreign income of citizens who are not tax resident there. Citizenship does not by itself change your tax residency or your obligations where you live or hold assets. We do not provide tax advice.
The IMA applies multi-tier due diligence through independent international firms, regional intelligence sharing and mandatory interviews. Approval is decided solely by the Government of Grenada and is never guaranteed.
